Appeared as the successor model to the long-run machine “MD-5MK2” released in 2001. Following the good operability and rich functionality, we adopted a simple and fearless design. The MDLP mode enables long-time recording (up to 320 minutes in stereo), the group playback function is useful when the number of recorded songs is large, and the easy operation of song selection and editing using a commercially available PC keyboard (PS/2 terminal), etc. A basic mini-disc deck packed with features.

While music recording media has shifted from cassettes to minidiscs and even semiconductor memory cards, minidiscs (MD) are still alive and well as digital audio recording media that can be used as “pure audio equipment” without using a personal computer. It was designed with a focus on sound quality so that it can be used in home audio systems. In addition, it is also possible to input and edit titles using a PC keyboard to take full advantage of the editability unique to MD. A sync recording function that automatically starts and stops recording when a certain level of input is detected, a fade-in/out recording function that can be set arbitrarily between 1 and 10 seconds, and a track that automatically detects silence It is equipped with a convenient function as a recorder, such as an auto-track function that attaches to a target and independent left and right recording level adjustment knobs.

End of production in August 2011
